I am on the quest to become a weaboo. Seriously though, what's the best way to learn Japaense?

I've been going to some book stores and seeing some interesting looking "Learn Japanese while you drive" discs that I guess I could listen to commuting to work.

What would any of you people who can speak Japanese fluently suggest?

The only way to learn a language is to speak it. Take interactive courses, etc. Rosettastone and the like are of little use.

Why must we have this thread every week when the answer is self-evident. You want to learn something, you take classes. Particularly for language, there is no better way to learn other than growing up where that language is spoken. From there, constant use must be maintain because language in particular deteriorates quickly (though obviously it's easier to relearn than it is to learn).

Well I usually don't go to this board, I just figured this would be the best place to ask. Am I correct in assuming that?

Regardless, thanks for the info, I'll let this float down to page 10 unless somebody else has a suggestion to add. Thanks.

start here if you really want to get fluent in the language without brute forcing everything and never really getting fluent

Do it like Yukimura, OP

scream, OYAKATA SAMA to your dad, hopefully if he understands your passion, he will pay for your language classes

Though, if you were serious about learning Japanese you probably wouldn't be asking in the first place. Especially not on 4chan. So I don't think you're going to succeed. Sorry.

His lessons are ridiculously funny.
I recommend you watch them, even if you're not interested in Japanese.

Also, saying fuck 100 times isn't funny. Go back to watching Blue Collar TV, faggets.
