I am still confused why zouken bothered with his stupid worms when he could just become a dead apostle and drink blood, which would be so much easier, and hardly against his morals.

Plus, having a shitload of mana is pointless if you dont have the skill to actually pull off miracles with it. Shadow Sakura had all that mana yet couldnt pull off something as simple as "Kill everyone in the near vicinity".
