SAKE AND TONIC? WHY YOU WANT TONIC FOR SAKE? NOT GOOD ENOUGH AS PROCURED FROM HYOGO PREFECTURE? YOU THINK IT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT? THEN MAYBE YOU FIND JOB WITH KOBE SHUSHINKAN BREWERY! YOU HAVE DRINKS WITH PRESIDENT,TRADE STORY OF MANY SAKE BREWED AND TECHNIQUES TO IMPROVE THE ART.

OR MAYBE YOU NOT DO THIS. PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU NEVER BREW SAKE IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE. YOU TASTE FINE JAPANESE SAKE, THINK IT NEED TASTELESS BUBBLE WATER.

I'm a big fan of Kubota Koju myself but there is a limited selection where I'm from. Personally I enjoy warmed sake unless of course it's specifically meant to be served chilled

For the most part, all alcohol (including Sake) tastes like the smell of nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol. Which is why most hard alcohols are taken in shots. Sake tastes like this but is a bit sweeter than other alcohols like Vodka.

I've heard that they are! Many vodkas are even made from rice!

sake is a lot lower alcohol content and is more like wine. so less burn i guess. vodka pretty much tastes like nothing anyway but sake has a definite taste
