its not as hard and it won't teach you bad bomb habits like some of the later ones

Any of the windows ones work. I recommend EoSD if you want to develop great skill at the game, IN if you mostly want to see the characters in action and get a very gradual lead-in to the game genre, and PCB if you're looking for only a moderate challenge.

Don't forget the translation patch.

I started with PCB a few years ago. Thanks to /jp/ I downloaded all the games now. I finished all the PC-98 ones on easy mode, didn't bother trying it harder.

I beat PCB on normal mode, but no matter what I can't seem to beat IN on normal, the best I could do on easy mode was a normal ending using 2 continues.

It's hard. :<
