Just came from /a/. Meant to post here.

So I had just bought a waifu dakimakura. But now I can't snuggle her because I don't have the correct body pillow inner piece. All I have is a 51cm x 137cm pillow. I'm in the US so I don't know what kind of opportunity I have. Most likely to look for the correct size at places like Bed Bath & Beyond. I don't want to end up paying for ridiculous shipping prices, but that may be a sacrifice I will be willing to make. If it's something like the 50cm x 150cm or the 160cm which I hear are the standard size, and would fit my daki. Any anons know where I can find such a pillow, and what can I use to substitute the lack of correct pillow until the new one arrives?

A lot of people here recommend Royal Pillow, as I believe they do custom sizing. I've only heard mixed things about the quality of their materials, but it's not a bad place to start. I absolutely recommend importing an A&J pillow if you can find one, despite the shipping. Sometimes they show up on AmiAmi or Amazon, but just look around. As for an immediate substitute, maybe cotton stuffing?

I commissioned art about 6 months ago and its been a learning experience since then. Here's some stuff to keep in mind:
- Pick an artist you really like. You want to make sure you're going to get something you'll really love and not regret.
- Be firm but reasonable with dates and deadlines.
- Communicate with your artist. Open communication with the artist gives you room to give them critique on their design, especially during the sketching phase. Be as specific as possible so you get exactly what you want.

When I started I just asked a few people for demo sketches and then commissioned the one I liked best. The design isn't 100% what I want and my budget wasn't too high but all things considered I'm pretty happy with it. The artist is doing some final touch up on it for me and I commissioned it all the way back in February. I shouldn't have been as lenient as I was with the timeline.

Royal pillow is pretty great. I got the cluster fiber 20x60 inch one and it fits the cover I got from hobbyheart (150cm) perfectly. I highly recommend.

Depends more on the pillow quality than length. I imported an A & J pillow and its fantastic.

From a practical standpoint keep in mind that most genuine covers from Japan are 160 and all covers from sites selling Chinese knock-offs are 150.

Its fluffy, good shape memory, the material sort of clings to the cover so it does not look wrinkly, and there is a zipper so you add/replace stuffing.

Last but not least if you are gonna import a pillow from Japan you might as well order the best one since no matter which one you buy the shipping costs will be brutal.

I got the AJ Fell Smooth Dakimakura Pillow and it's nice but not really that smooth with all those bumps everywhere. It's 150 but i kinda wish now i bought 160. Also got 2WT daki and it's nice in touch but i feel it's kinda delicate and easy to ruin.

If I became a killer, I would kidnap people and tie them to a bed, to take a picture and later turn it into a dakimakura cover. After the cover comes out all right, I would put them into suspended animation through chloroform/compact oxygen mask and proceed to cover them in stuffing. Doubt it. Mirai Nikki received very little merchandise for some reason. There is not even a decent figure of Yuno besides an action figure.

But if you have some high res art of her you can submit it to one of those sites selling knock offs to make a daki out of it.
