This is Tirpitz-chan
People call her “The Lonely Queen of the North”
She hates that name, because Norway is cold and dark and she is indeed lonely.

Her nee-san Bismarck left home to defend the Fatherland a long time ago, before leaving, she told her little sister to wait for her return in Norway, and so Tirpitz-chan have been waiting in the frozen seas of the north ever since.

Shes sees that you are a traveller anon, she wonders if you heard any news of her older sister?

>> No.1225173

Oh uh.. she's still out there. Yeah.

>> No.1225174

This post has made me sad. Thanks.

>> No.1225183

I take off my cap, and look into her eyes.

"Miss, I'm sorry, but... If what I have heard is true, your sister... Your sister is dead."

As she collapses, I put a hand on her shoulder.

"I... I'm sorry."

Tirpitz-chan doesn't believe your lies, because she knows her nee-san is the greatest battleship of all Europe and no can challenge her and win in a fight.

In fact, some times ago the pocket battleship Admiral Scheer passed through Norway, and Tirpitz-chan heard from her that her nee-san took on three Englisch battleships and their flagship battlecruiser and sunk them all.

Tirpitz-chan is very proud of her bigger sister

Tirpitz-chan loves everyone in the Kriegsmarine, well everyone except the twins Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. She calls them "The Ugly Sisters".

But since you look trustworthy anon she'll let you in on a secret: she doesn't really hate them, she just turns green with envy when she sees the two of them sailing together and have all these wonderful advantures in the seven seas.

She asked the admiral if she could go out and look for her nee-san, but they told her the Iceland coast is too dangerious and she best stay in port.

>These two ships, considered handsome and fast (with a top speed of 31.5 knots), were invariably mentioned at the same time, often fondly being referred to as "the ugly sisters" because they prowled together and wrought havoc on British shipping.

But why would Tirptiz-chan even be in the wide open Altlantic? She was tying up supply convoys in the Artic Ocean and occasionally in the very north of the Atlantic Ocean. Bismark nee-san and Donitz wolfpacks were all that were needed to intredict in the wide open Atlantic.

This is Prinz Eugen, Tirpitz-chan remembers that she was with nee-san when they left harbour. Tirpitz-chan have been keen to talk with her but seems after returning from Denmark she's been hang around the Ugly Sisters and avoiding Tirpitz-chan.

Because in the original plan of Operation Rheinübung they was suppose to have Bismarck, Tirpitz, Prinz Eugen, Scharnhorst and Gneisenau all together for PARTY IN THE ATLANTIC!

But Grand Admiral Erich Raeder chickened out and decided not to wait for more ships. Might have went either way I guess, concentrationg all of Germany's heavy surface ships together may just mean you lose all of them in a single mission

Maybe that would have been a better end than years of inaction in the fjords. At least she survived a series of violent air raids. Until they finally got her. Damn norwegian bastards dismembered the remains, selling a lot of it for scrap, using her internal systems for infrastructure, and otherwise dishonoring such a great ship. Even today they use her armored plates to cover potholes and other places where they're doing roadwork. That's not a dignified end.

Are them, the one with the blue turret roof is Scharnhorst, the one with the yellow is Gneisenau

If you see any other Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, those are WW1 armoured cruisers. They were scuttled and their names recycled.

No actually that's wrong, i'll take that back.
The two of them where at Battle of the Falkland Islands in 1914 where they were chased down by two British battlecruisers (HMS Invincible and HMS Inflexible) and sunk

Then their names were recycled
