Depends, does plasma count as the sun? If it does it would likely take her head off, hurt like hell and make her mad as fuck. But if it's just one shot and not in the heart she should be fine.

It upsets me how Fallout 3 (and new vegas, and the new 3D TES games) could've been fun, but instead they made every gun feel like it was shooting feather bullets. Shooting things/people with rifles dozens or hundreds of times to kill them isn't gameplay, it's math, and that doesn't belong in an FPS.

Sure. RPG doesn't have to mean that. You can have weapons that feel like real weapons, and are satisfying to use, while still having the RPG statistical systems. No reason you can't just scale up the enemy and player damage to realistic levels, and then apply the standard RPG modifiers (your gun has good maintenance! +10% damage etc)

3D Fallout is stat-based combat first and foremost, the shooting comes later, while the reverse is true for STALKER.

The gunplay in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is so satisfying as long as we're talking about it, especially with mods like ZOA that make them even more lethal. You can kill dudes in exosuits with one shot to the head from the game's starting pistol.

It is. It just doesn't have numbers and well it does have stats. Artifacts man. You can increase your stats with them.
It's some sort of hybrid. I'd be upset about my computer not being able to play x-ray engine games now (something to do with my new processor?) if I hadn't already played them so, so much.
Maybe in the future when I get another upgrade and it works again I'll play it some more.
I love stalker. You can cosy up to a camp fire with some guy playing a guitar one minute, and then get shot to death in a muddy field the next.

The artifacts are mainly for stat boost, you can still run and gun without them because the game is balanced as a shooter.

3D "shooter" Fallout is different because it's actually scaled on level, the game expects your character to level up and be stronger.

Fallout is a RPG with shooter elements while STALKER is a shooter with RPG elements.

Oh I'd totally go for that.
But "with RPG elements" nowadays usually means that it has a weapon upgrade system. Like dead space. "RPG elements" IE "wow it's fucking nothing".
Stalker's RPG elements are RPG elements done right. Proper equipment, money, small stat boosts from some items. Ammunition rarity depends pretty much on how much damage it does, same with guns.
I guess you could put that under shooter aspects.
But whatever.
