Fuck that additional fatigue penalty for using fatigued ships, it even applies to PvP. I did an easy practice battle with a fatigued Sendai and instead of gaining +1 as expected she goes red.

Man, I kept more of my old CLs and DDs than I remembered. Maya was my first CA and she's only 11th oldest. Apparently I kept a spare Yura because she's the only ship I ever sank (August E-1 boss sub) and her replacement is still on the last page.

Sadly I don't have any Mutsukis until page 6 which is packed with them; I got rid of all of mine early on then got them back for expeditions, now they outlevel most of my old ships.

Don't ask me how it happened: akatsuki class were loving me a bit too much. IIRC, I hate like 2 hibiki and 4 akatsuki in a row.
I also have the knack in having ships in a very weird order. As you can see, I got my Ooi before I got Kitakami; Likewise, Tenryuu showed up only wayyyyy later.
Of course, I had tons of duplicate of the same ships early on.

I admit I pretty much tossed away some ships likeAyanami class (due to my dislike for drew style), but that's far as it goes. When I said most, it is of course among all girls, so I had to cut few girls since I didn't hate money that early

The artbook, from what I've read (on Amazon), isn't really worth it. It's 95% in-game artworks and the interviews aren't that interesting.

Other than that it's just the LNs and mangas, and that depends on if you can read moon (or if there are official Chinese releases).
The Kagero LN is OK. It kind of ignores various aspects of the Kancolle setting but it's a decent enough read.
Crane sisters LN is notably darker and more serious, but it's well written and was endorsed by Tanaka P.
I don't have the Akagi/Kaga slice of life LNs, but I heard they were crap.

The mangas/anthologies are all fairly decent.

I only have 3 of the mangas in tankoubon: the Calm Seas one, Side Kongou, and the Torpedo Squadron Chronicles.

Calm Seas is probably my personal favorite. It's got a nice and clean artstyle. There isn't much of a story (mostly just loosely relates the Kanmusus to their more modern ship counterparts if there are any), and there aren't many chapters out right now, so it's a thin book.

Side Kongou is pretty good. It's quite heavy on the ass and thighs service and has some odd fight scenes (Kongou defeats Wo by lifting and throwing her into the air for Hiei to shoot). It also features quite alot of Kongou and Yamashiro, two characters that doesn't seem very well-liked here. Yamashiro has a GREAT ass though.

Torpedo Squadron Chronicles is kind of meh. Nothing's explicitly wrong with it, but at this point there aren't many new things you can do with Tenryu + Akatsuki sisters. But if you like lolis then this is the one to go with.

If you focus a lot you can see a diminute animation change between an attack that just does damage and an attack that "sinks" the girl attacked in question. Listen you should use more CV because air superiority give you double attack I use 3BB in my heavy fleet and that's overkill, I was using 1BB3CA2CV and it work just as good

Use CAs with double attack setup and they will do the job just as fine as any BB. The reason BBs are more valued is that they can survive without getting orange or red on long sorties better and they can break the bosses' armor. Really, CAs right now are the way to go against almost anything given their good perfomance at day and their devastating performance at night (lol Haguro Kai ni 190 attack at night + double attack = 400 damage).

On PVP enemy ships don't sink so the sink status is represented by having only 1 hp. But sometimes they are actually left with only 1 HP so they haven't been sunk. That's why they continue to be attacked.

As far as I know it's always been there (even when the player couldn't pick a formation), it's sometimes annoying but that's how it works.

What's actually happening is that those ships aren't at exactly 1.0000 HP, they're at some tiny fraction above it that gets rounded down on your battle screen so you can't see it. Proof: there's a few pics floating around of ships with bugged HP in decimal quantities. It's a result of the math from damage calculations and it's a bug that I don't think has ever been fixed completely.

That's a bug which also happened out of PVP and I think it was fixed back when the Arpeggio event ended, but it has nothing to do with this, let's say you can hit Kitakami for 42 damage or for overkill damage, both will show as 1HP, but in the former case she will keep getting attacked and all attacks will show up as miss whether they finally hit her to set the "sink" or actually miss, it's confusing.

I'd rather say it's let's say 1.6 hp, but numbers are converted to integers, so we can't actually see decimals. "Sunk" ships are at the 1.00 state, 1hp targets have more than 1hp, but less than 2hp. I believe this is the reason, my failed +3 AA modernization attempt resulted in +2 AA. Decimals are the only sensible explanation I can think about.

Of course, disregard this post if someone has proof it doesn't work like this.

I tried before getting Kai Ni's and I allways got a ship red on the first 2 nodes. There are some piss cheap models on internet, even more if they are second hand. Just take into account that modelism takes time, at least if you want to do a decent job. Furthermore, brushes and paint can be expensive. The good thing is that you won't need an extensive colour pallete to paint moder ships because it only ranges from black to different shades of grey and white most of the times.

If you want to get into modelism, pick big models at first. They are easier to paint and that way you can polish your skill getting the parts together, polishing and doing the details.

The real challenge of modern ships modelism is painting it well. Try to read tutorials on the web to accomplish effects once you feel confident enough.

Give it a try, it's a fulfilling hobby, even more if you can relate the models to the Kanmusus.

It's honest to goodness impossible if you have a life outside Kancolle. I'm entirely convinced that all the top 100 rankers are either expert botters or true nolifers.

I managed to stay within top 200 for the first 5 days, then competition heated up really fast when people started to clear 5-5 for the extra 200 points, so I had to clear 5-5 too (usually I just take it easy), and 5-5 fucked with my resource balance a lot.

It came to the point that one hour of inactivity could cause my rank to drop by 10 places. I just gave up around day 10.
