Sure, but don't bother with Ciel's route. Go with Akiha next, then Hisui, and then Kohaku. Oh, and don't forget to unlock both the true and good ends for each character. Some of the alternate endings are actually really good.

Question for Nasu fans here. Is Fate better than Tsukihime? I keep hearing it's really good, but I was actually so turned off to Nasu's writing by Tsukihime that I can't muster up the will to get into the Fate series. Sea creature themed sex euphemisms aside, where's a good place to start Fate, and is Fate/Stay Night generally better than Tsukihime or worse, in your opinion?

Ciel's route had everything Arcueid's (the first route in the game) didn't. Batshit insane Shiki, insane Arcueid, and way cooler fights. I don't understand why so many people would just tell someone to flat out ignore her route. Or any route, in fact. Either finish them all, or don't play the game.

I'd say FSN is better than Tsukihime, but only by a slight margin. The plot isn't too interesting aside from a few interesting scenarios. Although, the idea of putting heroes into classes is pretty neat to me.

If anything, I think it would be worth getting into FSN simply to enjoy Fate/Zero. Zero's characters and plot are far better than FSN's.
