To build actual electronics and the devices that to this day the human race has been unable as a whole takse quite a lot of math & physics, so Nitori and Rikako are both 9/10, Patche is 9.5/10 because of rocket science also.

The applied physics knowledge to work molecular structure of all existing matter and every possible configuration, aka chemistry, requires quite a lot of math and spatial sense skills, not higher because Lunarian magic dumbs things, Eirin is a 8/10

Eiki is a 7/10 because everybody working at the judicial system gotta know how to suck their targets and clients dry .

Alice is a 6/10 because of the bright side of Autism.

The heads of Moriya are 5.5/10 because it takes market knowledge to keep your donations up

While it's true that physics uses a lot of applied mathematics, that's just one aspect of mathematics; a physicist usually only learns about the mathematical stuff relevant to the subject. The average physicist probably won't learn "pure" mathematical stuff like number theory, for example. So while someone who runs a nuclear reactor would most likely be very good in applied mathematics and nuclear physics, that doesn't necessarily mean that they're the best in mathematics in general. Usually you look for a mathematician for that.
