Not sure about those torrents, but PS2 undub collection from rutracker has AT1 and 2, A835470AC84B9655546AAD56A5D63D1B1568626B can be used for magnet or google search.
This will work until it's updated with (yet to be released) AT2 retranslation.
Best PCSX2 version is the newest of the most reliable ones, i.e. the one on PCSX2 website (SVN builds on orphis' buildbot, emucr etc. shouldn't be used).
I would have added latest BIOS files (one for each region), widescreen + progressive mode patches and maybe mentioned Dualshock 3 drivers for Windows somewhere in the readme as well.

The 'problem' with that magnet/torrent is that it contains the entire undub collection. Having a dedicated torrent for one or both of the games would be much better, in my opinion. If there's no other alternative though then I guess I can include that one.

For the DS3 driver how is Better DS3? I personally use http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller but Better DS3 seems much simpler to install. I know about MotionInJoy but it's terrible even if it does work.

Also would you happen to have a link to the updated BIOS and those widescreen/progressive mode patches? Thanks.

Playing Ciel nosurge chapter 11, all I can think about is how nice it would have been to know this stuff before I played Ar nosurge

I can't believe we would have gotten it before the serious shit that went down in Chapter 10 if Ar released on original schedule (late January), too.

Deep down I wish they'd push out a major balancing patch for Ar nosurge when Ciel finishes up, too. The difficulty needed to be raised significantly in Phase 2 & 3, Veteran was a cakewalk and the enemies really need to do 2-3x as much damage and be harder to break to prevent the game from becoming ridiculously easy, even on the hardest difficulty in a game with selectable difficulty levels...I would replay it for sure if they did.

There's also been some errors, mostly in tutorial screens missing letters or having wrong tenses.

The bigger problem with the localisation is how they just leave shit out of the translation. You have things like Cordelia saying "I know! And don't call me Cory (Kuu-chan!)" And the translation just says "I know!". This is happening far more than it has any right to.

To be specific, that was the Atelier series.
Gust also did three Ar Tonelico games, with male protagonists, item synthesis that was called something other than alchemy, and only metaphorical sex. Also large portions that play more like a visual novel, which may be why these threads started on /jp/.

Ar tonelico doesn't have much focus on the item creation.
The games are all RPGs with standard map exploration and battles and so on (though towns are menu-based). The VN-like segments are the Cosmosphere, which is basically side plots about going through the girls' psyche.
The first two games have turn-based battles while the third is real time, and the main focus of each of them is that you have a Revyateil in your party who charges up magic over time which you then unleash when you consider it optimal.
