I played C;H on /jp/'s advice, because I enjoyed S;G. I finished it, and while it did cause a strong feeling, it was mostly revulsion. Being the main character felt gross. Okarin might have behaved retarded at times, but he wasn't a just... thoughtless, obnoxious creep.

The other thing that caused revulsion was the writing. The end of the game just seemed... too rushed. You go from being useless to Godlike and the explaination seemed weak. I would have much rather played from the perspective of the true main character, or one of the girls.

All that being said, I'm looking forward to Chaos Child. The concept of the game could have been entertaining, if it was presented better.

Oh wow, you caught me. The fact that he whacked it to figurines and fantasied about nailing his sister didn't bother me.

The fact that he let her get her hand cut off... that I found quite disagreeable in a protagonist.

Apologies for any misunderstanding. I wasn't attempting to be sarcastic. What it boils down to is that I thought the protagonist made some very poor moral choices (what he did in his free time, hey, whatever gets you off), and it made him difficult to empathize with.

You know it's funny the first time the character started ranting to himself, I was perfectly fine with him. Even all the D-Sword crap or his complete uselessness up until some critical point where he only becomes the hero through dumb chance during a mental breakdown.
