It looks kinda fun, but I really dont like that the only type of card is character/unit cards. Spells/Instants/Abilities are what make TCGs interesting and I really dont understand why you'd skip out on those. 2-player Solitaire where I perform my strategy while my opponent performs his without any hindrance makes for a very lackluster experience imo.

Those people obviously have a tentative grasp of Touhou at best. If the announcer didn't drop the name Touhou that one time, this could be a description of literally any Generic Card Game™. They propably found themselves a niche they though they can make a buck on and all they had to do is to paste a few of the million fanarts on the characters on a template card game system and call it a day.

Sorry, but I'm staying with Rumbling Spell Orchestra. At least Hinafuda knows Touhou canon (and some fanon too) inside-out and made effort to make the game feel Touhou-ish (Hit and Evasion rates, Unfocused and Focused movement values to boost evasion against some spell cards further, deathbomb-ish Border Value, penetration of defense on laser cards, etc), not to mention RSO is pretty damn complex and well-balanced too.

I didn't really have a problem with it because let's be honest: There's far worse touhou shit out there than a card game with some decent artwork behind it. And the logistics in western society for making something like that is far different without any big centralized areas. The closest equivalent would probably be Steam, but most Japanese developers are still afraid of it.

The problem was EXACTLY the fact that it was funded with a crowdfunding system like Kickstarter. Had they done this without Kickstarter (like a good doujin project should), there shouldn't have been any problems.
