/jp/, let's have a thread in which we discuss our favorite designs of Touhou - I mean their appeareance, consisting of clothing, hairdo and maybe their trademarks, like Okuus control rod.

I'll start. I am really, really fond of Koishis design. Her skirt, hat and the color scheme, everything just screams "girl".

Not the best design, but I like the details and what ZUN tried to represent.

Like, how the buttons on her dress kinda represent an arachnid's eyes. Or that the ribbon on her head looks like the Chelicerae of a spider.

And, the dress. The lower part looks like the swollen abdomen of a spider, while the upper portion looks thinner, truly like a cephalothorax.

Yamame a cute, would let her liquify my entrails.

Anyways, I don't have a picture of it on this computer but one of my favorite designs so far is Mamizou's when she was pretending to be a human or something. She should wear that all the time.

Yuugi is the strongest Touhou because she can manipulate paranormal phenomena, meaning she can manipulate the magical abilities of all other Touhous.
That's why she can stay in streams of Reimu's and Marisa's bullets without even getting hurt, or even spilling her sake.

Besides people cannot notice her only because Koishi acts completely subconsciously. You cannot fight subconsciously, you won't even start a fight. And as soon as Koishi switches to conscious mode she's instantly noticed by everyone as seen in HM,

I always thought the contrast between the modern Yuuka and the form she first appears in is fairly intriguing.

The whole dream theme, and this nighty, they always make me wonder if there wasn't something else she was intended to be.

On that subject, I also like Patchouli's design; it's complicated but comfortable looking.

I like Tenshi's long, fluffy, blue hair. Combined with her petite body it makes her look so cuddly, I get the strong desire to hug her. Those curly strands on the side are a nice touch and makes it look a little unruly. Too bad many artists forget them.
I also really like how colorful and detailed her dress is, and her boots look really cool and fashionable. The way the hat rides her head instead of properly being worn is adorable.
Overall I would rate Tenshi's design 80% cute and 20% cool. It is full of color and drives a lot of attention to itself, so only already stunning girls could pull it off.

Complex skirt with a beautiful pattern, make her look mystical, while her chains make her look strong.

Everything in a beautiful and equilibrated color palette.

I adore Komachi's elegant dress, and think her wavy scythe is really cool.
Her hairstyle is also cute and girly.
I also think she has some of the best attack animations in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody/Hisoutensoku.

I love it when the artist puts focus on her wings.

The top defining features I like about Okuu's design are her bow, her wings (space cape optional, but is a big bonus), and her third eye. Her control rod, elephant's foot, and floating atom are bonuses, but not required. I also like her green-white color scheme. It's very nice to look at.
