IOSYS was in the past the one and only good 2hu music circle, they made also a lot of these catchy flash animations, but at some point they forced this "catchy" music a bit too much and used too much of these hyperactive genki shit with high pitched vocals
In total: They were great in the past and got some significant influence in the doujin community but now too many new people joined IOSYS and it all became kinda tedious

That's alright, I'm the same way sometimes. When I can actually understand the lyrics though, things are different because I'm focusing on the meaning of the words. Not that the lyrics are especially coherent, but hearing love songs directed at 2hus or sung from their point of view is magical for some reason. Hopefully it's not too much of an exaggeration to say that it brings it to life in a new way.

Say what you will about the circle as a whole, we've seen a lot of great musicians emerge from IOSYS. I think they deserve recognition for their time and place in the Touhou fandom, for better or worse, but I appreciate them most of all for introducing me to the likes of Sayuri Anpo and Miko Resurrection.
