It caught my eye because it's about Satori and has a distinctive artstyle.
I really liked the idea about Satori making friends with Remi through a doll since they are both very dignified people who I can imagine very well trying to hide their true feelings all the time, however the whole yuri undertone was kind of stupid.

A doujin about the "friendly rivalry" Kokoro and Koishi have and the problem Koishi faces at the end of HM.
Basicly this artist tried to finish the story that was started in HM and left often for speculation in a way that seems very plausible.

Doujins are really unique type of media. Being independent they have to deal with very limited resources. Author has to fit everything he wants to say in just mere 20-30 pages. That's why every single page and even panel is important.
What do we have in this doujin? 40 pages of completely boring, mindless and pointless action. No plot, no emotions, no meaning. All 40 pages are wasted on nothing, it's a stupid filler that would suit only for a long running seinen series.

Thanks, I really liked that. It's not the sort of Yuuka I generally like to think of, but it sure lines up with her baffling dialogue in POFV pretty well. Whether it's just the alien thought process of a youkai, or a deceitful answer designed to provoke discomfort, I'm not sure.

I generally like to think of Yukari as the one who can barely be understood by mortals, and Yuuka as the one who can't be bothered to explain herself to them, and enjoys telling them riddles that make them nervous.

I'm reminded of an idea I had while stoned that the reason Yukari helps Reimu preserve Gensokyo, and the reason for the overlap in their powers (borders/barriers) is that she's somehow a gestalt of the souls/consciousnesses of all the previous Hakurei mikos.

I guess I'll check that one out next. There was also that one that asserted that Yuuka was secretly a long-lived fairy. I like to take her at face value though, an ancient nature spirit as approachable as a daisy, as beautiful as a rose, as intimidating as a great forest, as pleasant as a sunny day.

It's awful, but my favourite depiction of Yuuka is still probably in Shako's April, literal sadism and all. It's not very literary, I'll admit.

Well that's non-canon right there, everyone knows she can't move that fast. Thanks for sharing that, it was really cool. I took another look at the POFV dialogue.

>Cherry blossoms are called, just as much as the clouds, high flowers of destiny. Cherry blossoms are clouds that have fallen to the ground. Afterwards, when cherry blossoms return to the heavens, what comes next is the scenery of clouds. That is the so-called rainy season.

>Do you know why flowers can be a symbol of death as well as happiness?
>That's because they're the same as humans. Souls gather, flowers bloom, when souls leave flowers scatter.

How much of this is awkward translation and how much is Yuuka being completely incomprehensible? Or is it ZUN's fault? Shiki also gets a boatload of gibberish.

>Cherry blossoms... really want to become white. Since you've lived so long, you've seen white cherry blossoms, have you not?

An odd pair, particularly for someone who normally stubbornly avoids Mokou romance that doesn't involve Kaguya, but it makes it work. Yeah, I can understand that mentality. "I've put in the effort, why should I put in extra effort so that other people can have a less-than-perfect understanding?"

Still, it's a pretty sorry state of affairs for western Touhou fandom when the one thing that ought to be translated properly is left in shambles. I wonder if the Japs mock us for it. Then again, being able to clearly understand the original source works sure hasn't stopped them from disregarding their contents, so whatever. As far as I can understand, plot is standard H-manga fare, no drama. The art is simultaneously cute and erotic, and the facial expressions are amazing. I'm glad I found this guy, even if his Orin doujin is way too weird for even my tastes. 10/10 will fap to again.

Wow. I'd completely forgotten to get around to reading this one. Easily another one of my favourites. It's a shame he's just doing Kancolle these days.

It's got really good length for what it is. It helps Kemonono is the artist, too. I don't really have a single complaint about it, but I don't like using numbers to score things.

God damn it, that fucking doujin. Why the best and cutest girl of the trio had to get that treatment? Ok, it was in colour but god damn it.

I'm not a fan of Flandre being portrayed as mentally unstable, but it's a nice little friendship story and very cute and silly

>yukataro: Golden Cutting Line
i absolutely love this artist.
not sure what happened in the middle story wise though, it was kind of implied that they switched bodies?

>Vivit Gray: Little Witch and Her Ordinary World
i like it. as usual.

>night sparrow in love
unusual paring, but it was cute. i didn't like the fact that mokou had such a boring character though.
being the hardworking type that is selling coal everyday just doesn't fit her.
