Oh wow. I've been going at 2-2 myself, some people I know got her from the boss node there so yeah. Almost 200 runs at it so far, it feels frustrating.

The only upside of it is that I get to level ships while not putting too much of a strain over my resources.

So hey fellow admirals, has any of you experienced a moment of absurd luck in LSC before? I was amazed to find out that I got Bismarck in 2 tries when I only got Taihou only after 3 months...guess I'll try for Yamato next

Also, I'm confused, how does one get Hamakaze? The wiki hasnt listed where it drops nor if she can be crafted with 250/30/200/30 or not

Got so fed up with my DDs getting critted by cut-ins at 5-3, I decided to run a 5SS fleet. First time sent me to dead end, but second attempt sent me to boss node. I went from start straight to sub node, which was just a staring contest, then to node D which wasn't much of a problem, then to boss.

Only problem is there's a much higher chance of going to dead end nodes now. But at least this is more bucket friendly.

Originally did 3DD/3CLT but that didn't work out so well. Then did 2BB/2DD/2CLT with the BBs equipped with searchlights so they could tank. That worked pretty well for a while. Then I think I replaced the CLTs with CAs since the CLTs were always stuck battling the gold sub at the boss node.

I went with Yuubari, Bep (with a sonar for asw support), Shimakaze, Yukikaze, Shigure and Yuudachi, all around level 75~85

I'm using 2DD, 2CL and 2CA, and always getting cut'ins from first node, and when I'm using sub fleet if they indeed sent to the boss node they're all firing the hime and DD (well to be fair, only 2 of them are remodeled, rest is not).

I'm ok stuck here, because I'm also stuck at world 3 and 4 for more than 2 months and didn't really feel missed anything except drops.

It took me enough attempts to level this DDs to ~lvl14 to understand that using BB + CV is better than 2 BB or 2 CV. (CLT+CV maybe even better though.)
Also ranking is strange. Getting B rank somehow is harder than A - less ships sunk gives C and girls don't actually like to attack enemy flagship.

Aside from the other super DDs, I have 3 Mutsukis and Inazuma all higher level than her, she's about to be passed by Z1 too.

I used her early on only because Kai-2 DDs didn't exist then and I got her long before Beaver. Once I actually got Kai-2 DDs she became almost permanently benched. The only thing I can recall using her for lately was 3-2 Mutsuki quest where I used her and Beaver since Shigure's AA is useless there, but I would have used Poi instead if I had her at Kai-2 then.

Taihou gets 146.8 attack with 2 Suisei 12As, Akagi and Kaga get 150.8 attack (150.8944 effective) with 3. The rest get 154.8 attack (152.1909 effective) with 4.

The important thing about event is having the right fleet composition and equipments for it. If you didnt have sanshiki or CLTs during fall event, it would be very tough.
Since the event last a minimum of 2weeks, you can stockpile for 2weeks and then attempt it on the last weekend no problem.

That's why if you use tools like ccleaner and exclude Temp Internet files, it still downloads the whole thing. You must also exclude the one in the temp folder to keep it from re-downloading.

Alternatively, you can use portable browsers + logbook. Opera portable stores cache within its own folder structure thus is unaffected by any external cache clearing. This is what I use when I play at friends' house.

I can't claim to know what they're thinking, but that probably is the plan. Previous events didn't have any major issues with map difficulty, the devs seem to have gotten what they wanted out of them.

The infernal resource pit that is E4 was intentional, and Midway's answer to it will also be designed for maximum pain and suffering.

Originally I was going to comment on how 5-4 was so easy that my destroyers could trash it with ease, despite getting regularly crushed on maps like 4-2.

Congrats on beating 2-4.

Some advice for you: Use 6 remodeled, modernized battleships with sparkle on for when you try and clear 3-4 if you don't want to be constantly retreating or at the complete mercy of RNG. Other ships aren't durable enough to take more than 1 or 2 hits from the enemy BBs on the way to the boss node.

Sure, transitioning screen takes ages as well, but that can't be helped, whereas the damn battle can be much faster since everything is already pre-calculated when the player selected the battle formation.

The advantage is from having two ways to get them, so that if RNG fucks you over with one way you still have a chance with the other.

I've gotten like 5+ Hiryuus combining LSC fallout with 2-3 and other crafting, and similarly several of every other rare ship except for Nagato and Shoukaku, and both of those got a lot easier with LSC too.

I would greatly prefer a higher resource, higher probability method to a low resource map that you have to run 300+ times to get the drop you want.

It is map where you have about 0.5*0.7 + 0.5*0.5*0.7 = 0.52 chance to reach the boss node. And that boss node has 0.33 chance of being the correct pattern. So on about 18% of the runs we are allowed to roll on the pool of ships with Hamakaze. That is 1 in 6 sorties.

And then we shouldn't even talk about the drop rate itself on those boss nodes. It is probably at best 5%, maybe only 1%.
