If I ever have a chance to have a talk with ZUN I would ask how he make one such wonder of a game series that have characters with such elegant clothes and beautiful names. And what I mean how is from how he got influenced, inspired, and finally get into creating the game.

Despite his drawing I really admire him for created Touhou Project. I've only known SHMUP as a cool jet-fighter versus monsters themed game a long ago, but when I found Touhou Project, word "like" turned into "love" for SHMUP.

It is such a shame that when people discover Touhou Project through secondary fanworks like doujinshi/doujin PV they tends to stick with the secondary fanworks. While the official work, the manga, novel, & especially the game itself give you an unexpected immersion, special feeling out of the world. If there's a paradise for fantasies, Gensokyo is where it is at.
