How come they have not fixed the board to reject these posts yet? How hard can it be to detect Javascript embedded in a gif file that can't even be made into a thumbnail?

It isn't like files that have .rar or .mp3 in them (because a file can actually be valid a mp3 and jpg at the same time). These files do not even seem to be proper gifs.

But it already treats it as an image. It tries to take every picture and make a thumbnail of it. In the case of the js file, you get a 'Thumbnail not available' image, which you should never get on a normal image. So you'd only have to set the board up to automatically reject any post with an image that cannot generate a thumbnail.
