So, I've decided that it's time. I've seen enough art, listened to enough songs, and heard way too many memes, and I'm tired of not getting it. How should I go about getting into Touhou, /jp/? I know it's some kind of vidya series with a shitton of characters, but other than that I'm lost. The only characters I know are Flandre (so cute) and her sister, and kind of the maid and China. I came to you guys because I've heard this is the place to talk about Touhou. Please help me out, /jp/.

If you've been seeing art, listening to songs and partaking in the culture, you already "got it" and you're into it on your own way. There's nothing else to "get", you've said it all; it's a shmup series made by one guy that has a big cult following.

You already know where to look and where to start. Go to the wiki and look shit up, or play the games in any order you want, or just continue to consume whatever doujin circles put out there. Don't be so pretentious to the point where you fake naivety and ask other people how to "get" something.
