I can't properly install the RS2 patch. when I try to, using the command prompt with admin rights and later start the game, I hear no music in the menu and cant start a new game or get those red "do you really want to quit" notifications.
the only step from the patch notes that I skipped is installing the LCS patch.

what do? please help

It was always a notorious bitch to get working properly, make sure you've followed the instructions correctly. Alternatively, I seem to remember someone on here making an "easy" patcher a few years ago, check the archive.

okay, nevermind. it needed to be started in applocale, which the patchnotes didnt say. next time I will be using a japanese win7 VM for anything /jp/ related.
