I'm trying to learn nipponese here, but they keep throwing characters that don't seem to exist.
What is this? I have looked through the hiragana and katakana characters.

Thanks! That makes sense in the context. Now that I look at them they do look somewhat similiar. I'm focusing on just being able to read for a start though.

'ξ' is pretty much the hardest one. I hate it when people use xi as a variable. Even after 3 years of studying i'm unable to write a proper xi-symbol.

The thing here is that り is handwritten like that. Some fonts completely fuck up how kanji and kana are actually written. 令 for example.

It never works out. I don't think I've ever drawn a perfect xi. It always just looks like complete shit that sort-of changes its appearance as the equation goes on. No 2 of my xi-s look the same.
