People legitimately enjoy alcohol. The reason it is consumed the world over isn't because everybody is trying to impress everybody else.

I used to dislike alcohol too, and to be honest, I still do aside from beer. There's nothing wrong with not liking it, and it is definitely a bit of an acquired taste, but if you have never tried craft beer, I recommend giving one or two a try before you write alcohol off entirely.

Pretty much this. I used to drink alcohol just to look cool in front of my friends, but after a while I got used to the taste and now I really enjoy beers. Most of the time I drink alone nowadays.

>>11733413
I always keep the yeast and a little bit of beer in the bottle for a nice final sip. I quite enjoy the strong taste of the yeast.

Japanese beer is very average. Beer in Saigon is usually better. Best Japanese beer imo is the Kirin.
Best beer worldwide is the Duvel.
Decent and affordable beer where I live is bottled Heineken.

Pic related, it's Patchy and beer.

American beer tastes like water with malt as far as I'm concerned. No offense.
It's a matter of taste, also.
Europeans don't usually have the same expectations.

Is your experience of different countries beers limited to what is commonly available? Seems that way with the choices you've picked.

I bet you think Duvel's really exclusive. Trust me son, you've barely scratched the surface.

3.0% is the limit for imported (out of state) utah beer, such as budweiser or blue moon.
The in-state microbreweries can go up to 4.0% though, such as uinta.

Not that guy, but while Duvel isn't really exclusive, it's still a great drinking beer because it isn't really that expensive and is still a great tasting beer.
Pic related are the Duvels I bought last week.

I agree, it's not bad at all and I drink it myself.

I made that comment because I hear people talking about it like it's really something special and exclusive and they suddenly think that they are beer snobs having discovered it. See also, Anchor and Goose Island - at least that's how it is where I live.
