If the Moon is free from impurities on Earth, why do they adopted Earth's clothing and weapons for lunar rabbits?

Because it would actually require some effort on ZUN and Aki Eda's end to come up with something original or impressive, so they just go the Star Trek TOS way of having conveniently earth-like alien societies. Of course Star Trek also had the excuse of no budget while a manga has no such thing.
