What is a good start if I want to learn all the different Touhou?

I have tried playing the games but they're too hard! Can you recommend me a good doujinshi manga to get familiar with more of Touhou?

I know Youmu's a ghost, Cirno's an ice witch, some more names I know are Marisa, Alice, Yukari, Patchouli, Sanae, Rumia, there is one who is a zombie but not much else.

What I did was, played in lunatic, got my ass wrecked, then played on normal with lifes maxed out.
Once you beat the game for the first time it gets somehow easier because you don't have the "I suck at this I will never be able to beat a touhou game" pressure.
I was able to beat IN on hard the day after.
