I think it takes a lot of active effort or a very specific person to be attracted to real-life little girls. It's just incredibly unlikely compared to the amount of people who claim to be pedophiles, so I assume most of them are just pretending.

Why? It's just another fetish. Otaku culture contains a lot of content related to the fetish so it makes sense that a lot of people who frequent the otaku culture board would have it. It's just a matter of "Does it make your dick hard, or does it not?" like with anything else.

I don't deny that there are pretend-pedophiles though. It's one of those things that a lot of teens going through a phase think they have.

That's my point though. It's not that I have anything ethical against it, it's just that it's a fetish so by definition or whatever it should be more uncommon. Finding drawn little girls cute? Sure. Because of the recent loli persecution on /jp/ I've been checking other boards that may have loli discussion. To my surprise, /r9k/ seems to have a large amount of pedophiles. Little girl pictures are not deleted. Little girl discussion is not deleted. Little girl threads are not deleted.
