It's harder to get better on pad, but if you're really used to it, it's also really hard to get used to a keyboard or stick. I tried keyboard after using pad for all my life since I was told it was the superior input method and that pad users are usually shit, but I really am garbage with keyboard. I'm slowly getting used to playing on stick though, it's a lot of fun playing stick and I just don't care if I fuck up often.

I dunno, I heard it's a lot easier to get better with keyboard than it is with pad since keyboard/stick are pretty much the best when it comes to stgs. I only tried playing with UME, but all of the SH3 games work fine. Doing a quick test of the 0151 build, DFK and MBL did not appear in the list. Futari still runs fine, but I don't think there is any slowdown, which makes some stuff especially impossible.

After some playing around, DDP DFK seems to have absolutely no frame dropping or any (noticeable) input delay at all on my end. That might have something to do with having an i7 and GTX 580, but it's silky smooth even with HLSL, I'm genuinely surprised.

It's taken me almost three years just to beat the first loop of Gradius III Arcade alone. I probably couldn't even 1cc Lunatic if I tried, but I haven't played Touhou in almost a year now, so who knows.

I'm only comfortable using keyboard in Ketsui, but I remember dying a lot when I tried it in Touhou and Gradius. I have no clue what input device I should be using. Just be happy you're not as stupid as I am.
