Yeah, there's a lot of differences.

For instance, the Playstation control features two thumb-usage analog sticks which has remained unchanged since the first edition of the device, while the Xbo- oh, wait...

The Playstation controller also has some buttons for the index and middle finger along the top of the controller, which is uniq- wait, nevermind.

And the Xbox controller has a set of four buttons for each thumb, which is totally different fro... darn!!!

Looks like both of the controllers are nearly identical and only differ in appearance and slight measures of ergonomics after all!
