This is for you and anybody who doesn't know, png files are WAY better quality than jpg files. I have done many tests with both of them, png is way better. Test it yourself if you don't believe me.

I think he means that the image is low quality anyway, so there's no point in saving something of poor quality using a lossless extension. The finer details, which is where a lossless extension really count, don't matter because they don't exist in the original image.

That said, I think >>11578490 is being unreasonable since many screencap utilities automatically save to the .png format. It's far easier for OP to just post than to convert the image to a lossy format for no reason.
