You should try out Amagami and Tokimeki Memorial 4(I really like this one). There is also Photokano. They're fun, but they're not translated. And they are also PSP games(but this is easily solvable by with a PSP emulator, if you don't have a PSP).

Depends on the engine. But even the most complex, not really, if you have access to IDA and a basic understanding of reversing.
