I had this moment where a few japanese exchange students happened to overlook a paper I was handing in my 201 class. They said my handwriting was better than most japanese boys. I was all dokidoki suru.

Same with Japanese. I found it's amazingly good for marking small boxes, since kanji is very compact and can be written vertically without looking like shit.

Get an erasable pen, they're great. You might say, "Then why not just use a pencil?" but a rollerball pen is a lot smoother to write with, and it looks prettier too.

I use a Pilot Frixion. The only trouble is that the nib is too thick for how small I write, but they recently released a fine-tipped model. I'll have to check it out next time I leave the house.

>> No.11560400

I used to draw them with a pen, but then I noticed my pens would very often run out of ink, so I switched to a pencil. It's much easier now because I feel like I don't need to apply as much pressure as I used to when writing with a pen.

>> No.11560403

>>11560400
How so?
Pencils take so much effort, so much kinetic and static friction.

>> No.11560413

>>11560403
I think it might be related to the fact that most of my pens for some reason stopped working really fast, so I had to apply extra pressure to make the ink come back again. With a pencil I don't need to worry about that. I just go and write it as many times as needed. Maybe I should try another pen though, because I don't erase any kanji I write (since I write each one of them 40 times).
