That's actually an incredibly common thing. Most foreigners write better than native speakers, usually because they learned as adults and practiced more.

Same with Japanese. I found it's amazingly good for marking small boxes, since kanji is very compact and can be written vertically without looking like shit.

Get an erasable pen, they're great. You might say, "Then why not just use a pencil?" but a rollerball pen is a lot smoother to write with, and it looks prettier too.

I use a Pilot Frixion. The only trouble is that the nib is too thick for how small I write, but they recently released a fine-tipped model. I'll have to check it out next time I leave the house.

I think it might be related to the fact that most of my pens for some reason stopped working really fast, so I had to apply extra pressure to make the ink come back again. With a pencil I don't need to worry about that. I just go and write it as many times as needed. Maybe I should try another pen though, because I don't erase any kanji I write (since I write each one of them 40 times).
