In the end, it has nothing to do with if things change or not. It has to do with the fact that change for the sake of change is often bad, and that change shouldn't be desired simply because it's new.
Change can be good and bad, and what matters here is that it's shit. The design is garbage, because it's change simply for the sake of having something new. It's half-finished, unintuitive and grates on the eyes. The old design worked just fine too.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I guess it's fine. I don't like that option to switch comment language taking up space and the background is dumb, I'll switch that to solid white when I get to it. On the other hand the new マイページ is cool and finally lists 生放送 stuff so I don't have to open a new page to check if something is running.

I've been using this site since ββ and every new version seems worse than the one before at first. Just takes some getting used to it.

The only thing I'm really enjoying about the change is the option to quickly change the comment section locale.

Samefagging some more, this is actually the best version ever and everyone who thinks otherwise is dumb and wrong. お気に入りマイリスト and 連続再生 are super useful, jumping around with the seekbar actually works, the UI scales smoothly when zooming, there are more options and the option interface makes sense this time around, etc etc.

You're saying you can't change back? The option to change back is still in the same place it has always been when they've tried this shit in the past. However, it will be enforced on 12/3 and after that you can no longer change.

It's bullshit when Tube does it but it's even more bullshit when Nico does it because they have paying customers. In fact, those are the only people try treat like people.

If enough of their fucking customers would quit paying in response to a change like this I bet they wouldn't do it, but you can count on that not happening.
