Man, fuck Mitsuhide.
I'm really curious about what would have happened if Nobunaga hadn't died that way. How it would all have turned out in the end.
Perhaps it was for the best, though.

Despite his love/tolerance of Christians, I think he would have ended up destroying Japan as a nation with all of the gaijin coming in. The Christian Portuguese built schools spreading technology and Christianity, what a plus though. To be honest, my interest in the Sengoku Era sprouted after several hours in Samurai Warriors 1 and 2. Mitsuhide's style and his relationship with Nobunaga made him my favorite character from the series. It's like... there was something beautiful at the betrayal, how Nobunaga "forgave" him. (no fujoshi feelings)
But when reading Taiko I obviously couldn't perceive it that way. Nobunaga was way more likeable -at least in that semi fiction- and it was such a pity that he died. Even when I already knew the outcome, I was instinctively hoping that Mitsuhide wouldn't do it. So yeah, I was pissed too.
It didn't help coping with it seeing that Hideyoshi was being arrogant after.
