What about Nico Nico Seiga? Some artists only post there.

Also, does anyone know of a script that automatically renames the Seiga images to its unique ID instead of simply "source.*"? It's a pain renaming them.

I don't feel bad about it because everyone has to start somewhere. It's just that some artists don't show their earlier works online. I only feel bad when a shitty artist tries to do porn and fails horribly or autisticly draws something similar for like a million pictures without getting better.

Like that one guy that draws a character from Precure pregnant in the same pose for like a million times.

I don't use Seiga because most pictures are on Pixiv or Nijie but the only script I found for Seiga was some Chinese script that didn't even save to your computer.
I'm not sure such a script exists but I'll keep looking.

Well, what tags do you use to sort them? There are a million options.

Up until now I used the copyright/series name and put it in a directory, and put the original works in their own folder but it all falls apart when I want to sort it differently. Like, sorting hentai, ecchi and normal images.

It is wonderful how specific the monster girls/gijinka that Pixiv artists come up with are. This one is based on the abyssal sea cucumber Scotoplanes, for example, and other artists have managed to convert such diverse animals as spider crabs, manta rays, ichneumon wasps, myrmecophilous caterpillars, Leucochloridium-infected snails, solifugids, antlions, nudibranchs, sea angels, tripod fish and the chambered nautilus (there's a new work on that last one, by the way, that came out during the monster girl convention earlier today - hopefully there will be scans) into cute girls. There are even girls themed after Mike the Headless Chicken, SCP-682, and at least four different avatars of Nyarlathotep (the Haunter, the Burning Eye, the Tick-Tock Man, and the God of the Bloody Tongue).

I don't need that, I only look up one tag, and go through 50 to 150 pages, then take a break off pixiv.
And trust me, there are a lot of hidden unpopular gems.

However sorting favourite artist by folder sounds like something you can't go without.

I really like this artist. It's not super high quality or anything, but his cute pictures are super cute and his lewd pictures are really sensual and erotic. I'm scared because he's only drawn Shingeki no Kyojin and English warship girls lately.

Just curious but how often do you guys do stuff outside of bookmarking and following? Stuff like commenting(japanese or english?), poll voting, pming, uploading, etc

I've replied to some PMs from artists thanking me for the bookmark or follow. I'll vote in the easy-to-understand polls like "Who should I draw next" or "What do you like most".

I also picked up about 10 followers even though I have no pictures.

Overall, perhaps this or one of the Toyohime pictures by the artist, I adore that styling and colouring. But I don't like to pick favourites because I like lots of artists for varying reasons.

A few of his pictures rub me the wrong way, but I mostly agree with what you said, and like that he gives attention to the PC-98 girls. Also he hasn't been drawing much lately, but his Twitpic is still a mixture of Touhou and Kancolle and that other series.
