/jp/ what kind of otaku are you? What are your obsessive interests? I have OCD so I got a few, even if I sometimes go through phases. Mine are:

Tabletop Games
Guns: Draw guns, read about guns, gun politics, mostly interested in media with guns

I have no social life and pretty much concentrate my free time on that.

In middle school I was a WWII nerd. Immediately after high school I was putting eighty hours a week into DotA I, and in the last few years I've binged on MtG on and off.

There's no /jp/ shit on the list because none of that ever made it into the "obsession" category.

i like creativity and all the modern, predominantly digital, outlets for it.
e.g. I'm currently working on my own audio-visual project, and will probably start on my visual novel project and my roguelike game in the next couple years. I've already laid the foundations for each, so I hope it all comes together.

Right now it's mostly food. I'll spend hours reading up on cooking techniques, recipes, various cuisines or spend hours riding someplace that has tasty or interesting food. Sometimes after I've made something it'll be acceptable, but there's always one thing that I get hung up on that makes the whole experience less enjoyable for me. For instance, I'll be disappointed if my fried food turned out oily or soggy, or my gravy isn't the right consistency, or my biscuits aren't layering properly, or my steaks don't have a nice amount of sear on them, ect. These are all things that are easily remedied by proper technique, so I try to aim for doing things properly in the kitchen. There are other times that I'll just cook because I want to practice. I mostly always make soups and breads because they can be cheap and I like the skills involved in preparing those two things in particular.

In the past I've also been into cameras and while that interest was less intensive than my food interest, I still got into the technical aspects of things like lens design, film and emulsions, sensors, chemicals, ect. I touched lightly on the actual picture taking thing, but my interests were always the cameras themselves and the things that made the photographs.

I'm also a certified loli otaku.

I'm a Japanese video games released prior to 7th gen otaku. It's too bad that we got a board that specifically caters to just this (though no 6th gen) and it ended up being shit.

I have a lot of hobbies but wouldn't call any full on obsessions, Anime & Manga, VNs, Japanese music, games, etc.

I go to the gym every day and care a lot about physical fitness and diet, so I guess i'm a fitness otaku.

I actually live in constant psychological pain, you see I'm obsessed but I've got major distraction issues (a form of ADD.)
Medication helps a little bit but doesn't take away from the fact that I constantly change from programming language to programming language. I guess you could say that I'm obsessed with trying things but never going fully in depth with it, not because it's too hard but because I get distracted easily and just lose focus. It hurts to live.
However, it's a lot better since I've gotten a bit older. 18 years old now, hopefully it'll improve as I get more practice.

Earlier today my cousin kept doing handstands and cartwheels in her nightgown on and made absolutely no effort at all to hide her panties when her dress flipped up.
