I agree with what the news post said but can't agree with the sage visibility changes.

Shitposting really is just counterproductive to the quality of the board. If you hate it so much find a new place you'll enjoy. That's just what I think. However I can't see why moot is changing the visibility of sage. It has been quite some time since the whole sage issue on /jp/. Perhaps other boards are still experiencing it though.

Well, it was probably implemented with other boards in mind, for although everybody on /jp/ can take it easy and use the sage feature properly, other boards are aghast whenever sage is used-- still, I sort of wish /jp/ could have been allowed to retain the visible sage, but then again, that might attract crossboarders who would want to see the novelty of proper saging
