PROTIP: When close to someone, dashing to the side will send you behind them; dashing back while close will shoot you FAR away.

q and w are the up and down 3d keys
a = melee; hold to charge a power hit
z = magic; some characters can charge this too
x = barrier
c = dash; hold it to speed up, tap it plus left or right in melee range to warp behind the opponent, tap it plus down in melee range to fly really far back.
d = switch target
s = magic trigger; press with others
hold s+a or s+z to use the main spells. Power depends on how long you hold it.
*Note, I don't know if this applies to everyone, but pressing s + a again after firing will control Nanoha's balls, and tapping it will shift Fate's orbs to the enemy (so you can let it go behind them then s + a them in the back.)

s+x does a third special thing, that depends on the character. At least it changes Fate into her speed mode (a ton of hits in melee) instead of using a super barrier. In some cases, charging it to full will make it more powerful.

s+c = magic burst mode. You can use alternate special attacks and the finishing moves of each character.

s+c+a and s+c+z use the two final attacks, that evoke a scene and will take you out of burst mode when finished. (I need a keyboard that can actually hit s+c+z before I play online fuckdammit.)

Nanoha went pretty well but fate vs drill girl is just impossible. She attacks faster so I can't go 1 on 1 so I have to keep my distance and shoot at her which she usually just runs away from since she is so darn fast.
