I was crossboarding on /adv/ a few years ago cause I was bored and made a thread asking how to meet people and nobody could give me a proper answer, it's kind of just commonly accepted that you can't make friends/relationships until you're in some sort of social construct like school and work.

This is also true. Nowadays there's the internet so I guess you could make internet friends but the odds of you being in the same country or region are really low. Most NEETs on /jp/ are under 30, they can always enroll in Uni, if they aren't already, and make friends there. Also lots of people keep in contact with childhood and high school friends, so there is also that.

After highschool I went into the expected NEET phase. I had no friends and lived alone, stayed in all the time etc. Then my grandma made me and my siblings go to my cousin's birthday party. Her friend was there and everyone played video games.

Last time I showered it was July I think.
my skin is all sticky and every corner of my body itches. The air in my room is thick, like there's some kind of fog in here. I've become increasingly paranoid over the last few months, it's too complicated to explain but I feel someone is stalking me over the internet so I nuke my hard drive every time I go to bed.
