You can force anyone to be a Berserker with an extra line in the summoning spell. Of course, they probably will be unable to use most of their abilities.

Nue can be a Lancer, too.

My plan would be to use Alice's straw dolls to take out everyone from afar and obscurity.

If any Project Shrine Maiden character is anyway eligible to be summoned as a Servant, they'd have to be dead. If we ignore that, there's really only a couple or three that can be summoned as a Heroic Spirit.

Hijiri Myouren and Hijiri Byakuren are two that could be summoned as Caster classes, possibly Berserker if they ever got mad, but any servant can be summoned into Berserker. Since they were real people with real legends, they are able to become Heroic Spirits. Miko, Tojiko or Futo might be eligible. More towards Miko though since she's far more famous as Prince Shotoko.

Kaguya can be possibly summoned because of her legend as the Kaguya-Hime, if she ever died that is. Gods can't be summoned so the God characters are out.

The new 6th Stage Boss's father can be summoned as Saber but he'd be pretty weak.

Parsee might be able to be summoned similar to an evil spirit like Medusa since she too has a legend. Though she'd have no combat abilities to speak of.

The Hijiri Siblings and the Taoist Trio are the most able candidates to be Servants which Myouren being the most possible because he died.

I participated in a Fate roleplay once and got Byakuren summoned as Berserker. It was pretty sick. Air Scroll was B+ Noble Phantasm.

In summary, it's (roughly) about a tournament for the Holy Grail - if you kill everyone else and get it, it supposedly grants your wish. The competitors in the tournament are essentially people who have summoned a "class" based spirit warrior to fight for them. The lore and the ideas behind it are fucking awesome; the writing and the porn for it are not so great.

Shirou is Archer, who died dozen of years after FSN events. Even if it's in a hundred thousand years, the Touhous will eventually die, and can be summoned anytime in the past. The only exceptions are the hourai elixir drinkers.

Arcueid Brunestud for example, is summoned as "Funny Vampire" servant, but ends up being Berserker.

Oh boy. Basically a really fuckin' strong reality marble that operates like a super-computer decided it would be a good idea to create a space where the Holy Grail tournament is basically an intense MMO where you live the game ala .hack/Sign or SAO. A digital school is created and all Magus class people are sent there and brainwashed.

If you are Magus enough for the Magus club, you will overcome the brainwashing and be recognized as a worthy competitor for the grail tournament. You have 4 days to overcome the brainwashing/realize that you are stuck in a shit virtual world. If you fail, you are killed immediately (yeah).

At that point, you get a creepy robot AI doll, and you can choose what Class you wish to summon, and then it summons one based on your personality/thoughts. The servant is then summoned overtop of the doll and they become one in the same.

If you die, your Servant dies. If your Servant dies, you die. The only exception to this rule is if your Servant summoned is not a Heroic Spirit (Case in point, Arcueid). If the Master dies and a non HS is your servant, they are simply freed from their servitude. Now, apparently the Moon Cell system still tries to destroy them, but in Arcueid's case, she just told them to eat shit and die and tore open a portal back to her world and left. The system basically just rolls a big laser wall over you elsewise.

Your Command Seal has 3 uses but if you use all 3, you are disqualified from the tournament (and destroyed), so you can really only use 2.

I think those are the primary differences.

Every week, a Versus list is posted in the school. All Master names are known/not a secret from each other. The list basically tells you which Master you will be fighting against at the end of the week.

You have 6 days to get 2 key cards to the battleground from the "Arena". The Arena is basically the MMO zone where everything is all fucking weird a virtual. There are treasure chests with mana shards and clothes and shit in them. All the enemies in the Arena are crazy robot bugs, and robot worms and robot crocodiles and shit. You basically explore it with your Servant in order to find the two keys. If you don't find the two keys to open the battleground for your Duel on the 7th day, you are killed. Aside from finding the keys, you're supposed to be using your time to try and figure out what Servant your opponent possesses, what their Noble Phantasm is, and their true name.

Then (assuming both parties obtained the two keys) on the 7th day, you both take an elevator down to a dueling room where you 1v1 each other.

In the course of the game, fighting other masters outside of the dueling room is (supposed) to be forbidden, but people do it all the time with little to no consequence. Officially you could be expelled from the tournament. The fact that you are basically tossed into a sealed room to 1v1 each other means that Saber is more OP than usual. Classes that like to rely on long range tricks/attacking in secret like Archer, Caster or Assassin are at a considerable disadvantage (although in the story, they just break the rules and attack you outside of the Arena/Dueling Ground, which again, is supposed to be forbidden).

There is a reason that Saber is easy, Archer is normal and Caster is mania mode.

Caster gets some extremely useful tools later on, the drawback is that the enemy servants become more bullshit powerful and can kill her more and more quickly, so you really have to be on your toes. Use her abilities wisely (I have no idea how people forget Aphotic Cave exists).

Still, stun-locking servants to death is incredibly satisfying. I love Caster and am glad I played her route first.

You can only force Mad Enchantment if they went berserk during their life. That's a lot of heroes, so you have a good pool to draw from.
