If ZUN died from alcohol poisoning, would it mean that his wife would take over? Even if she could program, she can't possibly compose like ZUN, and defiantly can't copy his glorious "art style." Does it mean that she's have to resort to letting anime companies fight over for a Touhou anime for the highest bidder? I would not at all be surprised that the studio that got it would milk as much as they can, and do about 2 or 3 50 episode seasons, each closely detailed to every game with tons of SoL episodes in between. Would you even watch a Touhou anime if it ever comes to be a thing, and how do you want it to be?

A lot of the circles that have gotten popular over the years from derivaties of Team Shanghai Alice works are very organized and skilled these days. They will probably make their own stuff that replaces Touhou Project in popularity or they will continue Touhou Project in spirit or turn to a new work from which to derive.

The fact that ZUN will probably die in my lifetime is a deppressing thought. Hopefully I'll have moved on to some other fandom by then.
