Initial D + bishoujo. It can only end in disaster.

Come preorder more games, even though we can't get out our current games

I hope MangaGamer forces G-Collections to be more competitive, as MangaGamer is aiming to have 2 games per month, while J-List companies have roughly 6 releases a year.

I'd rather mustervate than buy something from MangaGamer.

>> No.1132533

Maybe then G-Collections will start releasing half decent shit people care about. Manga Gamer is kinda getting better at this.

The Circus titles should sell well, as they have a larger reach than most upcoming titles. Besides, they hired proofreaders, so a repeat of those first couple releases should not happen.

Has MangaGamer said anywhere how well Edelweiss did compared to their expectations?

>> No.1132631

If MangaGamer wasn't full of DOWNLOAD ONLY faggotry I'd buy shit from them.

Peter Payne needs to get off his ass, get his games out, and then get shit that costs more than five bucks to license.

My hopes is that guy from Circus forces them to offer physical media, if only for those games.

Can't say this about Da Capo, but the Suika proofreader (Reikon on the J-list forums) is someone who appears to be a perfectionist and wants to work for the "good of the genre."

Well, The Sagara Family was their best release to date, to my understanding.

Perhaps G-collections will decide to cut the loli route, like they did to Aya's route.

Damn Aya, she needed a route

Although J-List has cut stuff before because of loli (X-Change 3) if they were to try that with this, there would be too much backlash. Also, they have had no problems doing loli routes before. For making me type this, 4/10

In addition to characters that were designed for /jp/, the plot is great too.

I'd rather have 6 releases a year than 1000 releases of the shitty quality Mangagamer turn out. They can't even use proper english on their website. I'm totally convinced it's some japanese guys who studied English for a couple of years.

What makes me rage is that the games that are released in shit quality will never see a good quality release, just because there's a "sorta english" one already.

1.) They already patched one of their first two releases, and I am guessing their second will have one as well.
2.) They have hired proofreaders, several according to one of the proofreaders, and the Suika proofreader is someone who has said he is doing all he can to make sure it is great.
3.) Their third game, according to those who brought it, is not as bad quality wise
4.) J-List recent game, Cherry, although there wasn't much in the way of grammar errors, the names used were inconsistent through out translation.
5.) Circus is working to make sure Mangagamer gives their releases a good release.
6.) 24 games a year, even if most are pure porn no plot, we will get some good games because of the companies involved (OVERDRIVE, NEXTON and Circus)
7.) After Princess Waltz and Family Project, J-List doesn't exactly have much coming out that is good or great.

Thirding this. Physical media where, goddammit.

Also, I wonder how long it'll take for them to get a non-amateur night website going on.

>> No.1133072

something of relative importance that has been overlooked for Mangagamer, from the repetitiveness Q&A at one of the conventions.

>Q. Which companies? circus, NEXTON, OVERDRIVE? Tarte? But its parent company, Deal, went bankrupt in 2007.
>A. circus, NEXTON and Overwrite have indeed invested in us. So far, only their games are planned, but if everything works well, everything is possible
>circus, NEXTON and Overwrite have indeed invested in us

>> No.1133178

>>1133072
So the companies themselves put money into Mangagamer, so as long as they make some profit, they should continue.
