I don't think that there is anything legitimately wrong with 2hu 14 other than I was a bit disappointed that Kokoro didn't appear in it. She needs a legit 2hu game.

Other than that, I actually like all the "cheap gimmicks" of the enlarged 2hu and seija's reserve spells cards, unlike what it seems like a lot of /jp/ers' reaction to it with their abloobloo bitchtears whinny posts in regards to 2hu 14.

I'm disappointed that I haven't beaten the Extra Stage yet. No single part of it is all that difficult, but I keep making little mistakes and fucking it all up.

The worst part is that the Spell Practice for the midboss pair is FUCKING USELESS because their positions in Spell Practice are different from their positions during the Extra Stage. Since their bullets like to bounce off walls and weave between each other, this changes the pattern entirely. Their second spell is frustrating me so much because times I get hit nonstop, and other times I end up never getting hit at all. I can't tell whether I'm about to get hit or not, so I never know whether or not to bomb.

The Stage 5 boss's inversion gimmicks were surprisingly easy to get used to, so I'm not really upset about that anymore. What DOES bother me is the large-hitbox thing. I wouldn't mind it so much, except that spellcard is literally impossible. You can't fit through the kunai fields, and the path between the kunai fields never ever lines up with where the white daggers are forcing you to go.

So, I got the game from the torrent 462400 at nyaa, and then it says it's not a valid win32 application. My computer runs windows XP and the demo worked just fine. I run windows with japanese locale (I get the yen symbol instead \ for example).

Thought Stage 5 was rather easy, though the last spell did get me. I was expecting the bullets to stop when it changed mid spell, but guess not.

BTW can you bomb at the Stage 6 survival spell card? I was a bit too slow with the death bombs, I thought the hitbox would be smaller.

Overall, decently satisfying.

I'm not good at Touhou, I got to just after the stage 5 midboss on normal before running out of continues.

I think the stage 3 boss theme will make for a lot of good remixes. I didn't think any of the other songs were that spectacular.

Easiest 2hu ever, even easier than IN. Haven't been practicing danmaku for half a year, can't 1CC Normal at any other 2hus besides IN - and there I get it at second try. You must be a woman if you complain about the difficulty here.

I also decided to look at extra and got to 5th drumgirl's spellcard. ZUN must have been kidding when he decided to make EX boss' spellcards vulnerable to bombs

I haven't played it yet. I'll probably lose around stage 5 on normal. I've been playing these things for about 3 years now. During my senior year I'd play for 45 minutes during homeroom, and about an hour or so when I got home, because I was having fun.

I haven't 1cc'ed any game, or actually beat any game for that matter (on normal). Why do I suck? It would be nice to play at least 1 ex boss.

You're doing it wrong. Literally. You're probably approaching the cards wrong and most likely missing some basic shooter knowledge such as streaming.

You should get used to learn things from others and download some replays. Is how I got started in Touhou anyway, I started with EoSD as my first danmaku game ever and in a week I had it 1cc'd in normal because I abused of the stage practice and took a lot of techniques from replays. Today I've done all on hard + all extras.

On the subject matter I'm in love with it. I can't believe people actually dislike it considering the huge improvement it is over TD, in every single category.

I'm slowly doing progress on spell practice for the latter two bosses (I need to work on stage 4 as well), but Shinmyoumaru's needle card is especially wrecking me apart. I can't figure out a way to do it at all. I know, streaming and stuff, but then all of a sudden the blue knives come too fast or make a wall and I can't do anything.
I don't think I'm doing too bad on her other cards, except for the giant one because fuck you and I'm going to bomb forever.
