Double Dealing Character has literally just one single tune that i might remember and it is the stage music of the first stage. Every other song in this game sounds like something randomly generated in some "make your own rock hit generator" and the fucking wave sound pisses me off. I think it would be a smart move to stay with the same type of sound he has been doing since 06 because it had it's own charm and would feel retro. Now he is using something that is between retro and just normal music so instead of having the retro sound (i know how pretentious this sounds) it just sounds like he is using a cheap rock generator. Also i have a hard time finding a red thread in these songs all i hear is "some electric guitars here, drums there, a random sound effect here and some brumming here" most of the old songs you could here just a tiny part of the song and almost instantly tell which character theme that song was now i have the feeling that many of these either sound the same or have nothing in them that will make me remember them. This is also why i think that the first stage theme is the only song that is good because it has a clear sound that if i hear it again i will be able to say that "oh i recognize this theme. It's from the first stage in DDC".
Then of course it might be because they are new and haven't been etched into my memory yet but right now the songs in my opinion sounds messy.
Does anyone else feel like these songs are not as recognizeable as the older ones?
