idollica start there listen to the 80's idols and learn that there will never be such a great generation of idols ever again. Many of the girls were just normal average girls with questionable talent but were real. The superstars that came out of that generation are something special.

Mari Iijima who plays Minmay in MACROSS moved to the US in the mid Eighties to escape the evil machine that is Japanese pop music. She now speaks English and lives in California. I'm sure she could tell you plenty about AIDORU life. Back in the day, her music was very much like Karen Carpenter, and she possibly would not like the comparison.
