I'm thinking about picking up a copy of Pokémon Crystal. Roughly how long does it take for the save to stop working?

It saddens me that old games are dying out. Sure, there's emulation, but sooner or later you won't be able to get a SNES any more, or an original N64 controller. Entropy will destroy everything you hold dear.
