Please hear me out for a second. The state of /a/ has been on a rapid decline that I hadn't noticed until really recently. Between the near non-stop Geass roleplay/theory threads to the now more frequently occurring tripfag circlejerks and retarded SW imagedumps, I can't even sift through the pure shit that accumulates to get to any decent thread. I'm curious how many oldfags are actually still around these days. When did you all start posting?

I probably first came to 4chan around 800k or so, because I had been around for a little bit before an accurate depiction of a female orgasm. I started going to /a/ around towercat (which was what, 5M? 6M?) because, until around that time, /b/ was still weeaboo enough and easy enough to follow that I felt no real need to read any of the other boards. After the habbo raids, 4chan gained a lot of popularity with gaiafags and the like, and by 12M or so I stopped going to /b/ entirely. /a/ was a bastion of sanity for a while, but around the time touhou was becoming popular it started to go downhill rather quickly. I became rather apathetic towards 4chan for a while because of this, and I really only posted (trolled) in /g/ for a couple of months until /jp/ was created. I've found /jp/ to be far better than any of the other boards currently are, but it's still a far cry from what /a/ (and even /b/) used to be.
