Ok, here's how Reitaisai 10 went.
?? over on 9baka and astost leaked like twenty albums day of Reitaisai or whatever. I'm not sure if it was ?? or someone else impersonating as that guy...anyway the first leaks on /jp/ were those Baidu links. Only a few albums out of the twenty or so got shared to /jp/ initially, but then all the shit got re-uploaded eventually. ?? didn't like that at all or something (from the first "/jp/ requests filled" posts it seems he was just wanting to fulfill any requests people wanted, not just have all his shit get randomly re-uploaded). Anyway, he stopped uploading shit and started giving 320k rips via proxy to nyasama or something, which is where some of the late rips came from, if not it was from PD/Tongrenlu, etc. The R10 Felt was leaked from astost to /jp/, and so was the R10 Foxtail-Grass Studio (I did that). Both were OK because 1st OP didn't specify re-share/not so that generally implies he didn't care; second guy just wanted MP3 leaks to wait for 1 week (well after 1 wk when I leaked it). Most of the non-nyasama/astost shit (which is like 90% of R10; astost doesn't do Reitaisai really) was a lot of DS self-rips or a bunch of PD stuff. Break Your Bullshit was leaked from astost without OP consent to Kourindou Records and re-upp'd elsewhere; Also, a bunch of Touhou no Sekai R10 albums have the same links as lolis' posts on Kourindou Records, and prettybarf mirrored a few as well (with consent). In any case, a bunch of those original twenty by ?? were probably also uploaded to PD, so mixing those together makes it difficult to find whose rip it was. R10 Zytokine (if it wasn't in PD) will be mirrored elsewhere eventually.
Audio-4U also shared some stuff from ???10; most (I think all) were PD reuploads.

As to your point about uploaders not wanting their shit re-shared, it's partially to keep the quality and merit of the site high. People don't want to bother contributing to something if everything is mirrored elsewhere. It's a similar reason as to why everyone a lot of people want to join What - it has the biggest archive of free music the world has to offer, and no similar public free music site has even close to everything on What, though there's still lots of public shit not on What though, but the perception of it being such a great archival place motivates people to contribute and share - which in turn improves the perception of the site, a great big positive feedback loop. 1. Signups are open every Saturday. I think this one would be in my top 5. The Liquid Funk that was on it was good and the Trance type stuff was alright as well. If Pastyle (well, mainly LAZ) puts out a full album on his own, then it'll take the top spot.

For metal, I really loved 東方幻想史紀 ～ Record of Ancient Chronicles ～ by Magnum Opus, great hearing the PC-98 arranged in that way, and the bit they added into Complete Darkness fits so well I keep thinking it's part of the original BGM.

Taking touhou arranges out of it makes it somewhat harder. I think DJ Shimamura - SX or Power Slam: Dynasty Collective Vol. 1 might take it.

It doesn't matter whether you self-ripped a CD or got it from someone else. Complaining about others illegally sharing your rips is retarded because it's exactly what you're doing yourself.

This applies to anyone, on any site. The uploader has the choice of where to originally upload their rips, if they choose to upload at all, but they have no right to restrict others from reuploading something they don't have rights to in the first place.

If it really bothered them, they would stop uploading, which is perfectly fine by me. New uploaders will eventually step in to take the spot of anyone uploading anything anyone cares about, possibly without the massive attention-whoring and elitism.
