Wild Zero is alright to get by one slow Summer day if you want OP. I was seriously thinking it was going to be a hole lot more edgy and moving than what it was. Friggin aliens and zombies. Is there any reason why you choose Rashomon twice a year to watch? Is it your favorite or something? Seems like it wouldn't be if you have to drink while watching it, Haha I think that is so unique to sit down and watch the same movie with drink the second time around. Seriously like something in a cartoon you would watch or a drama. I'm still going to write that short story series on /jp/ janitors and tripfaggs, so maybe I can work that in somehow. /jp. irl could be a sitcom or comic. Probably a comic would work better.

THIS.

Also Confessions of a Dog. You HAVE to watch those two. They're important.

Other than that, I can recommend you:
- both Anno's movies, Love & Pop and Shiki-Jitsu (Cutie Honey doesn't count) if you want psychological stuff.
- Funky Forest for bizarre comedy.
- Linda Linda Linda, for beautiful slice of life (you'll also see scenes blatantly plagiarized in Haruhi and K-On).
- Tokyo Decadence counts (and it's related to Love & Pop, they're both based on the Ryuu Murakami's novels called Topaz and Topaz II) if you want a fantastic erotic thriller.

That from the top of my head.

Speaking of Western sellouts the creator of Caterpillar won Germany's Golden Bear award. The way he comprised the movie and smirked as he accepted the award was cringe worthy of honor. Seriously...

Basis for such a plot is the extreme. Many Japanese did not encounter such extreme injuries and were mostly either inflicting them on other or were simply killed in battle by the Americans and British; not to mention the Chinese allied with the Allies. The real prominent scars and wounds like this were in fire bombings and the nukes. All of Europe loved it and America too. Just serious propaganda to keep the emasculated Japan quiet and burdened with the past, while the director knew this he was happy to do it.

Seems like Miike is slowly toward directing like an actual Japanese director or let alone a real director. So much of his work is such over the top super sexualized to the point where he is simply living out his dirty fantasies.

Welcome, new user to /jp/ - Japan/General! Hah, just kidding, this isn't Japan/General. This is Touhou/Visual Novels/Doujin Games.

If you want to discuss the different places you can visit in Japan, I suggest you go to /trv/ (though they also seem to hate Japan there, so don't annoy them too much). If you want to discuss the Japanese language, go to /lang/ (yes, 4chan has text boards!). If you want to discuss anime and manga, go to /a/ (some series that are based on light novels/VNs/games like Marimite and Higurashi can also be discussed in /jp/, it really depends, so lurk a bit to see what's acceptable). Finally, if you want to talk about Japanese history and culture, go somewhere else, nobody here knows or cares for that stuff.

/jp/ was created as a board to get rid of Touhou and visual novels from /a/, it was never intended to be a board about Japanese culture. Most of the users here don't care about Japan, we only care about lolis and doujin games.

I think those links are all dead.

I tested them. Or at least the ryuushare one and the first uploaded one, and they're working.

Worst case scenario, you can download it with a ryuushare account.

Do you have a premium account on ryuushare? Because it said I needed one and those uploaded links are all dead.

Nope.

But I'm assuming you're having issues with asiatorrents, so you can also get it from tpb:
http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/8618365/Confessions_of_a_Dog_%28Pochi_no_kokuhaku%29_Japan_2006_OK

Only 3 seeds though.
