My Cure Marine fig still hasn't gotten confirmed (cause it's back order).

I kind of want this fig too, anybody own it? Would you recommend it? And there's also a Jack Frost (from SMT) nen that I'd like, but it is pre-owned. Anybody have experience with pre owned purchases? Is the condition generally satisfactory?

I'd really like for there to be some Tales of nendroids. I'd love to get one of Anise and Hisui.

/a/ already has a thread dedicated to helping these people anyway so there's no reason. If they can't figure things out at /a/ or learn to use a web search, they REALLY shouldn't be here. I also don't care for a "general" thread for figs since it leads to substandard discussion done for the sake of keeping it alive. There are better forums for daily, regular discussion.

I think the purpose of a fig thread on /jp/ should just be to share your feelings on upcoming figs and recent purchases. Everything mentioned will just get in the way of that. The very fact that people are complaining and that we're having this discussion is proof of that. Of course, I can't stop OP from doing it, but I've said what I needed to say and I'll leave it at that.

They do. I lurked the Konami set for about 2 years until Clayz came out with their set. They routinely went for $400+ for all three. I kept passing and passing and then Clayz came out with theirs and I figured I'd go for it.

If that doesn't work, then you're going to need a colorless benzoyl-peroxide (sp?) ointment - otherwise known as zit cream. If you rub a teensy bit on the affected area and leave it for 12-24 hours you might be able to lift the stain. It depends how deep in the plastic is has seeped. Also, repeat treatments are usually necessary to completely lift the stain (if it's at all possible).

No idea. I know some people have managed to circumvent the blacklist with second accounts but I never inquired.

AmiAmi's cancellation policy is kinda awful. I've spent an embarrassing amount of money with them and they still give me shit every time I cancel. The last time was something to the effect of if I ever attempt to cancel something again they would blacklist me.

Pretty terrible, considering they've made loads of money from me already. I started ordering everything I can from Hobby Link Japan as a result. You can manage your orders manually - cancel shit/hold stuff/move stuff around - all on your own.

AmiAmi's prices look better than everyone else but they inflate their shipping so much it actually turns out to be the same price as Hobby Search and Hobby Link Japan.

I don't know why I'm going to justify myself to somebody who won't believe me, but here's the gist of what happened anyway: A friend of mine made an account using my address, I believe because there were troubles with the mail getting to his house or something--I don't know the exact reason. Yeah, ya gotta budget, man. At least you can count on AmiAmi's calling in the money at the end of the month. The one drawback of Hobby Link's policy is you have to pay for your preorder as soon as it is in stock and the grace period is only 3 days. This can be tough, but AFAIK they're pretty cool about extending the grace period as long as you don't make a habit out of it. Then you can elect to have it shipped at that time or stored in your Private Warehouse.

It's funny because when I first started doing a lot of preorders in 2004/2005 (before then most of my stuff I acquired by proxy) I used AmiAmi exclusively because their customer service was really good.

Hobby Link, on the other hand, was TERRIBLE with their customer service. They were straight up rude if you asked for any concession. But when you hardline someone who has been a good customer for years you're making a decision to risk alienating that person.

IMHO the best thing that went up today. Stylized sculpt reminiscent of game box art. Mouth struck me as wonky at first but I think I still like it. There's a fun motion to the pose. Very dance-y and kinetic.

Don't buy anything without checking its value on the secondary market. When in doubt, ask sellers if their merchandise is official and licensed. Consult MFC for counterfeit information. They're all over the place at conventions from what I understand.

There's really no reason to buy a figure at a convention unless you have money to burn and you're just wanting a souvenir. The whole thing leads to a serious case of buyer's remorse 9/10 times.

I once wanted to buy this Ryougi fig at a con, but it was like 100 euro, so I checked it online and I could get it as low as 85 USD or ~9000 Yen with none or low shipping cost. In the end I bought a Saber instead for 30 euro.
Most of the time it's cheaper to just order stuff online. The more expensive something is the bigger the profit margin, so with cheaper stuff you are less likely to be swindled. Except if the anime is hot shit at the time, which was in the case of my Ryougi.

she's a real cutie, and I'm really surprised at how well made she is. I wasn't expecting her feet to be so weighty, and that is a very good thing. She poses like a charm, she's easy to balance, even with a lot of stuff in her hands, and I havent even broken out the stand. She's got a really good amount of accessories too.

She's preowned, I've got minor paint scuffles on the legs from being in a box for so long, but I could probably touch that up with some tamiya white pretty easily (I paint gks, so it definitely isn't anything tough for something that simple) .

Overall, for half price, she's a steal.

She does lean forward a tad but not in that melting plastic lean we all hate. It's just the posture of the figure.

I just adjusted the train of her skirt to the back and nudged her feet on the pegs the tiniest bit.

She's a symmetrical nightmare, though. If you look at her dead on her placement on the base is just a tad off center.

Never bought one and most of them look really great but I was wondering if they have any issues. they seem to have disappeared a couple of years back so just curiosity.
