Did anyone else think DDC's music kinda sucked by ZUN's standards? It just seems really messy.
Sekibanki's boss theme was definitely the best, but still pretty weak.

At least it seems his designs got better; Sekibanki's original design is actually somewhat cute and the challenge is pretty balanced and fair.
I just hope the next stages are an improvement and not a disappointment.

I think it's a reference to them actually being in the Bamboo forest again. I liked it the most out of the stage themes too.
The stage 1 theme also sounded a bit like EoSD's stage 1 theme and Kagerou's theme sounds like a worse version of Heian Alien (an arguably inferior version of UN Owen).

I just don't like the general musical direction ZUN's heading in. It's getting more heavy and messy.
I know the latter three stages are usually better than the first three, but in general TD and DDC sound worse than SA and UFO, which were okay but inferior to the first three Windows games. I got into Touhou mostly because of the music but now I don't think I can hear something as great as, say, Extend Ash or Septette for the Dead Princess or Reimu's theme as often. The awesome solos are getting harder to find.
